# Merge shipments

> Merges multiple `unscheduled` shipments of an order into one. Items from every shipment listed in `target_shipments` are moved into `source_shipment`, and the emptied target shipments are discarded. Only shipments in the `unscheduled` status can be merged. Returns the reference number of the surviving shipment.
